Welcome to Term 3

Kia Ora and welcome to term 3. We are very excited to share our learning with you. This term our topic is call something in the water and team 4 are going to be learning about the rocky shore and all of the creatures that we will find there. We are going to be looking at who eats who in the food web so that we have a better understanding of what goes on at Pt England beach and the rocky shores around Auckland and New Zealand.




We are currently working on researching about some of the creatures that we might find in the rocky shore and will post these as soon as we have finished them so watch this space!

The Kindness Effect

Today is the 11th annual Manaiakalani Film Festival. This year room 8 has been learning and talking about what it is to be kind and how to show kindness. We have learned that doing a random act of kindness for someone can be as simple as holding the door open or giving someone a smile but kindness does make a difference. 

Room 8 decided that we should show others how to be kind and learnt that by doing a random act of kindness it can have a ripple effect and can be passed on until it could come back to you. We hope you enjoy our movie, please feel free to leave a positive comment on our blog to tell us what you thought of our movie. We hope that you can start your own kindness effect. Pass it on! 

Kiwisport Tennis

This term Room 8 were lucky enough to learn how to play tennis. We learnt how to hold the tennis racket and also how to serve properly. We also learnt how to do a forehand and a backhand. We got so good at what we were doing that we were able to have small games against each other.
