Dear Miss Timmi,
Thank you for making the food at camp, It was very yummy and nice. I loved the dinner and the breakfast. It was delicious and yummy. We were so lucky to have you cook us food.
I am grateful for you being camp mum because you looked after us and made sure we were okay. You looked after all of the kids at camp which was a lot.
I am also grateful for having a yummy cooked meal every day for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desert. It was my camp highlight. Thank you so much for everything you are amazing.
Yours sincerely,
Aniqua

Camp Week
This week we room 10 and team four were lucky enough to have our Year 5 and 6 Camp on the school field. We had the opportunity to sleep in tents that were put up for us by Mrs Nua, Ms Squires and some of the other lovey teachers and students at Pt England. We had so much fun at camp and were able to complete activities like kayaking, killer zone, slip and slide, cycloball and many other awesome activities. We had a camp concert night were we all got to preform an item in our camp groups! On the last day we went to the pools and had lots of fun! Check out some of our photos, we will post more next week.
Thankyou so much to Mr Somerville, Mr Burt, Mrs Nua, Mr Jacobson, Ms Squires and Mrs Lagitupu for making it possible for us to have a camp at school. As well as a massive thankyou to all of our whanau who helped with cooking, security and other activities you are amazing! We appreciate you!

Science Week
This week we are calling our learning "Science Week." There are so many things about our world that we don't know much about, but thanks to science, we are able to take a closer look at what these things are. Science can help us understand how these beautiful things operate, and also be a lot of fun. Check out some of the learning that we have completed this week while looking at the human body and other scientific things!

Lockdown Again!
Auckland is in a Level 3 Lockdown again! Some of us are needing to go into school and complete our learning at "bubble school." Even those of us at bubble school are jumping onto our google meets and completing remote learning. It is so awesome that we can still see each other online twice a day for our google meets which you can see below!
This week for our learning we have been looking at different cultures around the world. So far we have looked at Māori culture and Pasifika culture as well as looking at some countries in the continent of Asia and Europe. We will share some more of our learning with you later on this week.
Please check out our learning on our individual blogs which are located down the side of our class blog. We hope you all stay safe and in your bubbles at home where possible!

Pt England Picnic
We have had such an exciting week at Pt England school this week! Yesterday we had Jacinda Ardern the Prime Minister of New Zealand come and have lunch with us and today we were able to have our Pt England School Picnic!
We started the day by walking down to the beach in our classes and then were able to swim, play sport, dance, bike ride and so many other fun activities! Room Ten had an amazing day at the picnic it is definitely one of our favourite events that we look forward to each year.
We hope to share some of our writing about this next week when we are back at school learning in the classroom. Please enjoy the selection of pictures from today that we decided to share.

Visit from the Prime Minister
Today we were so incredibly lucky to meet the Prime Minister of New Zealand, Jacinda Ardern! At school last week we started to get free lunches at school and some of us wrote letters to thank her. Mrs Moala and Room 21 sent her in a video of how much we love our lunches at Pt England School. Jacinda Ardern loved our video so much that she came to have lunch with Room 21 and then walk around the school and meet us all.
Jacinda Ardern was kind enough to have an interview with some of our year 7 and 8 students which can be accessed via the Pt England School website. Room Ten practiced their letter writing last week and wrote letters to the Prime Minster thanking her for allowing our school to have free lunches. We haven't had a chance to share these letters on our blog yet but as soon as we do we will share them with you.
Thank-you so much Jacinda Ardern for coming to our school and having lunch with us! It was such an incredible experience and is something that we will never forget. We are so incredibly blessed to be able to have free lunches in school and we all think they are super yum!

Duffy Show
Today we were lucky enough to have the Duffy Theatre show at school. The show today was about Duffy and his cousin being in lockdown and trying to do their school work online while also being kind to their whanau and each other. This was relatable to us as it was something that we were really good at doing last year with having to go in and out of lockdowns and start remote learning each time.
